Residential Care
Dementia care
Respite care

Situated next door to a children’s nursery in the heart of Headless Cross, Redditch, our care home is nestled in a quiet spot of the town.

Our residential care home has everything you'd expect, with stylish lounge and dining areas to quiet rooms. Another place to relax is the stunning landscaped garden with a wooden summer house and raised flowers beds. Our budding gardening enthusiasts nurture their own plants and flowers from seed, injecting beautiful colour in time for summer celebrations that take place there.

For our residents who prefer to be pampered, the hairdressing salon is the place to be. A local Redditch stylist comes in every week to make our residents feel really special. From trims, sets and blow-dries, it’s all available without stepping one foot outside the care home.

But even though our facilities speak for themselves, we think what makes us truly unique are the person-centred activities. From flower arranging, cake decorating and animal therapy to light exercise and arts and crafts, there is always so much to do - day in, day out.

It’s so important for our residents to have fulfilling and stimulating activities to enjoy. And that’s why we tailor these to the likes and dislikes of every single resident. We consider their individual care needs, whether they are receiving dementia care or residential care, as well as their fascinating life stories. Every day is different. Sometimes you can see us taking part in one-to-one activities, reminiscing about the good-old-days. The next we are cooking up a storm with our avid bakers. It's magical moments like these that enrich the lives of our residents.

We are also very proud active members of our local community. Not only do we throw open the care home doors to host regular community events throughout the year; we also enjoy special visits each month. Youngsters from nurseries, a ballet school and primary schools pull out all the stops to sing, dance and perform just for us.

As you can imagine, the intergenerational activities are extremely popular. They also bring back cherished memories, particularly for our residents living with dementia, of time spent with their own children or grandchildren.

And outside the home, we take the residents out and about across Worcestershire. This can include steam train rides on the Severn Valley Railway in Kidderminster, gardening trips to Webb’s garden centre in Wychbold, pub lunches and more.

Award-winning staff

But all this wouldn't be possible without our dedicated team, who work tirelessly to make Brambles a care home we are proud of. And we are not alone in thinking our team is special, with several of the staff having won or been shortlisted for prestigious care awards.

Domestic supervisor Kay Walker recently won The Ancillary Worker Award in the West Midlands finals of the Great British Care Awards 2018. Her accolade recognised her 'excellent, person-centred service’, while ‘demonstrating dignity and respect’.

High praise indeed. But she wasn't alone in attending the awards ceremony. She was joined by fellow team members who were all regional finalists in their categories. Activities coordinator Fiona Morsy was shortlisted for The Care Home Activity Organiser Award and senior care assistant Harvey Thandi for The Frontline Leaders Award. The team here and our residents are incredibly proud of them.

A reviewer on independent care home review website carehome.co.uk agreed, praising the team: "I have nothing but praise towards the kind and caring staff at the Brambles. They genuinely care for my Gran which is all I and my family could ask for. She is settled and is building trusting relationships every day. Every time I visit she shares how caring everyone is and that she feels safe because of them."

Pre-bookable respite care at Brambles

Did you know we now provide pre-bookable short-term respite care breaks? Providing residential and dementia respite care, loved ones have the opportunity to take a break of their own, safe in the knowledge that their relative is being cared for. Call us today on 0152 755 5800 to find out more.

Pricing information

It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for their care in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.

Our 2022 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1,043, but maybe in the region of 20% more*, dependent on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms to our premium bedroom options.

*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
