East Park Court is one of our three Wolverhampton care homes and is located in the Bilston area of the city. Our devoted team provide residential care and care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. We also provide relief respite care breaks, which are ideal if you are looking after an elderly relative at home and are in need of a carer break of your own.
We are proud to have our own resident ambassadors, who enjoy having such an important role in how their home is run. They attend residents’ meetings and provide valuable feedback, as well as welcoming new residents to our care home, helping them to feel right at home.
With spacious en-suite bedrooms featuring walk in wet rooms, our residents are encouraged to truly make their rooms their own. Some bedrooms have patio doors leading to the gardens, which are a delightful spot to relax with friends and family during the summer. They have wheelchair-accessible pathways, which are ideal for our residents with greater physical disabilities.
In our dining rooms residents enjoy delicious, home-cooked seasonal cuisine, and the vintage café is a great spot to enjoy freshly-baked cakes with afternoon tea.
We have a hairdressing salon for pampering, and our lounge areas are always a hub of social interaction and activities, from musical performances to arts and crafts and gentle exercise sessions, often enjoyed under the watchful eye of the care home’s King Charles Cavalier Dexter!
Our team at East Park Court work hard to ensure our home is very much at the heart of our local community here in Bilston.
Children from the local primary school have been frequent visitors, enjoying a variety of activities, from potting seeds to treating us to sneak previews of special musical performances! Our residents have even had a front-row seat to their Greatest Showman production.
We’ve also enjoyed a partnership with HeadStart, known as ‘The Challenge’, an innovative volunteering programme for young people on their journey to employment. We’ve welcomed volunteers from this programme into our care home, and they have loved spending time with our seniors.
Family and friends of our residents have also volunteered in the care home, taking part in activities and outings.
As well as providing residential care and support for people with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia, we also offer adult respite breaks. Perhaps you are an older person living alone and would like a short break, or are a caregiver looking after an elderly relative and need a carer break of your own? Whatever the reason, we are here. We offer short stay planned respite breaks as well as longer-term options. These breaks are also an ideal way to experience life at East Park Court, if you are considering a transition from home to care.
It is usual for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their own care. Some people have the resources to pay for their care in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.
Our 2022 weekly care fees for residential care start from £873, but may be in the region of 20% more*, depending on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
